i have a motorola v3i and i am on Virgin Mobile. i can download Mxit, but when i get to the "Installing (1/2)..." screen, the blue line runs a few times, but then it just stops and says "Mxit login/registration failed. this could be blah blah blah..." when i was on vodacom, the same happened. Mxit doesnt want to install. and i have loads of space on my phone. and all my other websites works on my phone. i can acces Facebook etc. can it be something to do with my phone's Java? because my Gmail application also doesnt want to work right.

Please have a look here on how to set up your phone: http://forum.Mxit.com/viewtopic.php?t=13149

i did everything exactly as it was stated in that post but my Mxit still does not want to install. my phone's internet works 100% with websites with that gprs settings you gave, but when i want to install Mxit or the Gmail application, it doesnt want to work with that internet settings. it seems like Java doesnt work with my settings? or what do you think? after i have downloaded Mxit i get the following screen :

URL: http://frmswap01.de.Mxit.com/res/?type=lang&ver=5.7&loc=en...
- Yes, ask once
- Yes, always ask
- No, ask later
- No, never grant access

Then i press OK on "Yes, ask once" and then i get the "Installing (1/2)" screen, and then everything just stops and i get the "Mxit installation failed. it might be that your gprs settings are not correct blah blah blah..." screen.

Please try the following, open your phone's default wap browser, clear the browser's cache, turn off your phone, turn on your phone, now try Mxit again. If you still have any problems, please let us know.

There seems to be some issues with these phone's on Vodacom at the moment. We are currently looking in to this.

Please have a look at my post above regarding Vodacom: http://forum.Mxit.com/viewtopic.php?p=418396#418396

We are aware of the disconnection problems with MTN. This is being caused by a timeout problem on MTN's side. MTN's servers time's out the connection after a certain time period of no activity on all Motorola V360 and L7 phone's. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do to fix the problem. You can give MTN's customer care a call regarding this problem.

For a temporary solution you can use a HTTP connection, please note that a HTTP connection is a bit slower than normal.

When you run Mxit and your phone gives you the "Use data network" screen select "No, ask later", your phone should give you the same question again, select "No, ask later" again, your phone will ask this question a third time, this time select "Yes, ask once". You will need to do this each time you run Mxit.

You can also give Vodacom a call and ask them about their GPRS status.

Unfortunately not until Vodacom has solved this problem. We are currently in contact with them and are working with them to get this resolved as soon as possible. Unfortunately there is no release date for the next release of Mxit.

Hi,

A day ago I purchased a Motorola Razr2 V9. I downloaded Mxit, it works, but my problem is that it's charging me call rates and not GPRS rates. I've tried adjusting CSD but there isn't an option under my Web Session settings. My network is Vodacom. How do I sort this out?

Also, this is my first Motorola phone, and when I'm logging in after it says "Connecting..." it says "Opening". I'm not sure if this is normal/standard for Motorola handsets as I'm used to Nokia only, which says "Logging In..."

A response would be highly appreciated. (F)
