    Greetings MXiteers,

Instead of posting your problems in the specific section dedicated to your phone, to make your Mxit experience better, we ask our Motorola users to post any queries/problems here. A MXit_Team member or a MXit_Insider will then help you as quick as possible.

The MXit_Team are trying to keep phone support as easy and uncomplicated as possible for all users. If you happen to have a phone that is not yet supported, feel free to post it in this thread and we will create a topic for you.

Lastly, all previous Motorola Threads have been moved to the Archive Section. Click  Archive

    Help us, help you.

    Regards,
    MXit_Team

I had this problem for quite a while now and my friend with the same phone has it aswell

It has nothing to do with the new version because the same happend with the old one too. Now and again when I go into Mxit it goes back to the regestering screen (the one you get when you've just downloaded Mxit) it's starting to get realy annoying, please help

But this normally happens when your phone is low on memory.
I had the same problem using a Samsung D600.
I had too many games and stuff on my phone.
Every time i started the Mxit app. then i would have to enter my login details as if i just downloaded it.
Try deleting a few games or apps and see if the problem persists ...

Usually memory for pictures, music etc. and memory for applications on your phone are two different types of memory. In Mxit goto "Menu" - "Settings" - "System info", look at "Flash left", you need at least +- 100kb free. If you have less then try to delete some games/applications from your phone, like kr4yz33 suggested.

I have just tested a V3 with V5.4 and I had no problems. Have you tried a clean installation of Mxit?

What is the problem to this. I downloaded Mxit again, downloaded my MTN settings again even went and created a new entry under "web sessions", but still no solution...i put on my cell c card and vodacom card and re downloaded the wap/GPRS settings but it says login/registeration failed or Mxit service unavialable.....Please guys shed some light need Mxit back and running on my phone how it was previously :D

    Thanks

MTN might be experiancing some GPRS stability problems in your area. You can give MTN's customer care a call and ask them what the status is of their network in your area.

To setup your phone to use with Vodacom and Cell C please read through the following thread: Motorola V360

can v5.5 still be downloaded or was it just for valentines day? bcoz i tried downloadin on my sisters phone nd it didn work
    she has Motorola K1

Yes Mxit version 5.5 can still be downloaded, it was not just for Valentines day. Try the following on your sisters phone, open the phone's default wap browser, clear the browsers cache, turn off the phone, turn on the phone, now try to download Mxit again.

If you still have problems the please post the exact error message that you get when you want to download Mxit.

I have looked through past postings on this site, and see that I am not the only one who has had an excessive costs when Mxit. I have learnt that the CSD settings on the phone are such that if the phone cannot make a GPRS call, it defaults to a CSD call (cellular switched data) which is charged at approx standard call rates.

My account is excessive and mtn will not budge on their statement that I made these calls, but if I did not know these settings even existed until this happened and so I am trying to compile a list of people who have had excessive accounts and have 'just had to pay'. I am intending to expose this billing anomaly through the media. If you are willing to help, please either send me an email or post on this forum the following: phone model, service provider (mtn or vodacom) , the approx date and amount, as well as mtn's response to your query.

    Greetings,

In order for a phone to run Mxit it needs to have 3 requirements:

    • It must be WAP enabled.
    • It must be JAVA enabled.
    • It be able to download third party Java applications such as Mxit.

Unfortunately this phone does not support all the requirements to run Mxit so you will not be able to download Mxit onto this phone.
