How do I change my MXit Pin?

To change your MXit Pin, log onto MXit then go to MENU " SETTINGS " PROFILE.

Once you here you can change all your profile details including your MXit Pin.

Please note that you need to click on ACCEPT for your profile to update.

Please note: Do not save a pin that is 10 digits or more as this could affect your profile and make it unaccessible.

Sony Ericsson users please note not to make the first digit of your pin a 0. For some reason the 0 changes to a 2 and will give you a incorrect pin error stopping you from logging into MXit.

When I logged into MXit all of my contacts are gone and I have contacts that I do not know.

Do you still have the SIM which you have registered on MXit with?

If not then it might be possible that the service provider to whom the number belongs too have recycled the number and the new owner have claimed their MXit profile. Please delete MXit from your phone, download a fresh copy of MXit and register with your new number and ask all your contacts to invite you on your new number.

If you still have the SIM, then it might be possible that someone guessed your PIN. In MXit goto "Menu" - "Settings" - "Profile" and change your PIN. Once your PIN has been changed no one else will be able to access your profile.

I have just upgraded my MXit and I get a error that my PIN is to short, why is this?

If you have just upgraded your MXit and cannot log into your MXit profile due to your Pin being too short or easy to guess make sure you have selected the "Login" option and not the "Register" option.
