Hi, I have a Motorola RAZR 2 V8 Mobile phone, I have Mxit installed, I only have 1 problem though, when I log in to Mxit, if I get any messages, my phone vibrates for the first messages, thereafter the vibes don't work at all, also my Mxit vibes don't work, I have deleted Mxit, cleared the cache, Restarted the phone and re-installed Mxit, but I'm still having this problem, and it is annoying not having the phone vibrate when I receive a message on Mxit.

Your help will be highly appreciated. (F)

    Thank You

We will have a look in to this.

    Greetings all!!!
I see all the motorola v360 users have the exact same problem i had.The geting disconneted everytime you send a message.Well gues what people iva got a solution. I managed to solve this problem on my own and figuerd out what actualy caused the problem, getin disconnected each time you sen a message. Believe i know how it feels.NOT NICE AT ALL!!! Well i got a solution for the problem and it has worked fro my V360 and i have enjoyed Mxit ever since. The problem i discovere was that i had way to much GPRS SETTINGS.So hers is what i did. I first resetted my phone...that you do by going to menu>settings>initial setup and the scroll down till tou get to "MASTER RESET".Select it,enter your security code and let the phone do its thing. After you have done that you follow the same procedure above but this you select "MASTER CLEAR".poeple please note that this will delete all phone data so i advise to copy all your contacts to your sim card before doing this. Finally after you have done that you will need to get new GPRS SETTINGS.I am on mtn and not using the settings they send instead im using my own. This is my GPRS settings for MTN.In the following fields enter this>Name: MTN wap
    Homepage: www.mtn.co.za
    Service type 1: HTTP
    Proxy1: 196.11.240.251
    Port 1: 8080
    Service type 2: WAP
    Proxy 2: same as above
    Port 2: 9201
    Timout: 10 minutes
    GPRS APN: myMTN
    User name: mtnwap

I hope this solves your problem coz it certainly solved mine. All you gtta do now is save the settings and set it as default, download Mxit, log in and see if the problem still occurs. PLEASE let me knoe if this worked.I would like your feedback on whether your problem was solved or not. Happy Mxiting :-) all.

Hi Mxit people. I have a Motorola ZN5. One thing I can't get working is file and camera access etc. I understand Motorola generally requires the app be signed by them. There is a way to give java apps full rights/permissions though. But I can't do it for Mxit. In 'about' it says 'file access: no' but with my a1200 even though you can't access the functionality, it was still open in Mxit and file access said 'yes' - and i have got full access on my Ming as well. Has it been purposely blocked in the ZN5 version? If possible, can't you allow access despite the phone not allowing it due to Motorola's restricted API? That way I should be able to allow access from my side. It should work, I have tested with Opera Mini, and it works (now I can download/save pages from within opera mini). Think about it please.
    Thank you.
EDIT: ok i may be wrong, on my Ming it actually also says 'no' for file access, but then again i'm actually using 5.6.3 for another model, probably the ZN5 version - touch screen issues.

Please try a clean installation of Mxit, do the following:

    1. Delete Mxit from your phone
    2. Open your phone's default wap browser
    3. Clear the browser's cache
    4. Turn off your phone
    5. Turn on your phone
    6. Open your phone's default wap browser
    7. Goto http://m.Mxit.com
    8. Download the correct version for your phone

We are aware of the splash screen issue and are looking in to it.

I got a Motorola V360v, I downloaded the new version (v5.9) and I log into Mxit fine everything, but it seems that Mxit can't show all my contacts. When I scroll down some of the contacts just disappear (as if my screen can't show it). My phone worked perfectly with all the other versions so far. Any idea what I should do?
