I did try a clean install yesterday - but let me try again. I'll post my success or failure.

Ok, tried your suggestion of clean install (and cleared browser cache - and cookies for that matter). Still, the problem perists.
I tried the version for the A1600 and the ZN5, but same thing.
I got the one for the E1000 again, which is fine, but now no longer running in fullscreen ;( .

It just seems like touchscreen support is not working or something (?).
But it worked fine the first time I got the A1200 version.

We will have a look in to this.

Ok, the E1000 version doesn't work either! I can get in because the login button is "using part of the phone's system" and is not "part of the app's interface" as such (if I can put it that way) like the fullscreen version/A1200 version.

Well, once I'm in I can't tap on anything in the app - I must use the joystick . It's as if the app has no touchscreen support at all (?).

Why then did it work before?

With certain updates certain features, code are sometimes affected. You can also give V5.8.1 a try and see if this version works in the meantime.

Eek, I've lost touchscreen supprt on Mxit. Other java apps are fine.

I've tried 5.8.1 for A1200 & E1000!!

I will also check if something didn't maybe go wrong on my side.

Please do a clean install of v5.8.2 and see if you still have this problem.

A couple of days ago i installed 5.8.2 but noticed the down key was now a Select key. I went back to "select a phone" on the site and noticed there were 2 options for my phone, i chose the old/"the one the site didnt give" and it worked fine, now i messed up my phone a bit and had to install Mxit again but theres only 1 V9 (Recognises it as a RAZR and then i have to select RAZR2 manually) option now and the down key still functions as a select key. I tried 5.8.1 and it still does the same. Maybe it installs the v8 version? Any solution?

Please give the version for the Motorola V360 a try on your phone and see if this works for you.

I have tryed the version for the motorola V360 and that also does still the same as the oter times. The only version I have found to be working on a motorola A1000 is the version of the sony ericsson P800. what can i do to get Mxit elite to worl on a motorola A1000?

I am not too sure if Elite will run on this phone as you only managed to get Pro to work.

Carry on using Pro for the time being until I check and see if Elite will run on this phone.

I mannaged to get V5.5 for the motrola E1000 working on my motrola A1000. Mxit team waht can we do now?
