Thanks for the reply. But the only reason why I posted this was because I've tried all of that already. Even the manual settings, and some of them don't appear on the Web Session editing screen such as Service Type etc. :-( I really have no idea wot to do

Try deleting all the GPRS settings that you have and then request new settings from vodacom by dialing *111# and choosing option 4 or 5

Also to make sure that you are not connecting via CSD:

    • On your phone, go to "Menu" - "Web Access" - "Web Sessions" (this may be "Menu" - "Vlive" - "Internet profiles" on your phone)
    • Scroll to your phone's current default internet profile.
    • Press the "Menu" button
    • Select "Edit"
    • Clear the "CSD No.1" and "CSD No.2" fields
    • Select "Done"

    Greetings Motorola Users,

We are aware of the connection problem with Motorola V360 and V3 phone's on the Vodacom. Even though on can browse normal WAP sites there seems to be some issues using any applications. You will need to give Vodacom's customer care a call regarding this and query this with them.

    Regards,

Unfortunately I cannot find your phone's user manual on the internet. You will need to have a look around your phone's menus for a place to remove the CSD settings.

When you run Mxit and your phone gives you the "Use data network" screen select "No, ask later", your phone should give you the same question again, select "No, ask later" again, your phone will ask this question a third time, this time select "Yes, ask once". You will need to do this each time you run Mxit.

Okay, thanks. But any idea why it says "Opening..." instead of logging in?

There might be some GPRS stability problems in your area. This might also be the reason why your phone is using a CSD connection instead of a GPRS connection. You can give your service provider's customer care a call and ask them what the status is of their GPRS network in your area.

Connecting via HTTP is slightly more expensive that TCP (socket connection). Your "Poll Time" is the amount of time before Mxit sends a data packet to retreive messages from contacts

    Hi everyone.

Thanks for all the help. I ditched Motorola and got a Nokia. Couldn't take it any longer. My Mxit works excellent now.

    Thanks again :-)
