Please do a clean installation of Mxit, do the following:

    1. Delete Mxit from your phone
    2. Open your phone's default wap browser
    3. Clear the browser's cache
    4. Turn off your phone
    5. Turn on your phone
    6. Open your phone's default wap browser
    7. Goto http://m.Mxit.com
    8. Download the correct version for your phone

    Greetings all!!!
I see all the motorola v360 users have the exact same problem i had.The getting disconneted everytime you send a message.Well gues what people iva got a solution. I managed to solve this problem on my own and figured out what actualy caused the problem, getting disconnected each time you send a message. Believe me i know how it feels.NOT NICE AT ALL!!! Well i got a solution for the problem and it has worked for my V360 and i have enjoyed Mxit ever since. The problem i discovered was that i had way to much GPRS SETTINGS.So here is what i did. I first resetted my phone...that you do by going to menu>settings>initial setup and the scroll down till tou get to "MASTER RESET".Select it,enter your security code and let the phone do its thing. After you have done that you follow the same procedure above but this time you select "MASTER CLEAR".people please note that this will delete all phone data so i advise you to copy all your contacts to your sim card before doing this. Finally after you have done that you will need to get new GPRS SETTINGS.I am on mtn and not using the settings they send instead im using my own. This is my GPRS settings for MTN.In the following fields enter this>Name: MTN wap
    Homepage: www.mtn.co.za
    Service type 1: HTTP
    Proxy1: 196.11.240.251
    Port 1: 8080
    Service type 2: WAP
    Proxy 2: same as above
    Port 2: 9201
    Timout: 10 minutes
    GPRS APN: myMTN
    User name: mtnwap

I hope this solves your problem coz it certainly solved mine. All you gotta do now is save the settings and set it as default, download Mxit, log in and see if the problem still occurs.Happy Mxiting :-) all.

You will have to get the correct GPRS settings from your service provider.

My friend has a motorola eco A45. Her service provider is cell c (based in south africa). Her signal bar is full but yet she disconnects a lot! We both think that there is something wrong with her phone. We have gone to a cell c store but the lady that helped us had such an attitude and said it was Mxit. She said we should just request the gprs settings and tried again....but to no avail nothing changed! I just want to know if there is a certain version for her phone that she can download which would not make her dc so much so we can determine if its the phone or Mxit

Cell C has a reputation for using EDGE instead of GPRS, which is faster, but very unstable.
I recommend she calls customer service, and ask them if there is a way to switch to GPRS. I know there is, but I'm not at liberty to disclose how.
