I have Mac OSX 10.4.11 And Mac OSX 10.6.3 I have tried this on both machines, yet nothing seems to work, tried reinstalling yet nothing worked. I seem to be able to download and install the plugin for adium, (version 1.1) and install it successfully yet don't see Mxit under the available accounts,
however it can be found in Xtra's manager.
Can someone please let me know what the the solution is for this.
    Much appreciated.

    Greetings

You also need adium to run the plugin, and if you have adium, just run it, and it will work, just ask if you need help or get stuck.

    Regards

What version of Adium are you running? The plugin doesn't work with the 1.4 (beta) branch of Adium due to a change in the name of a call in this newer version. If you stick with 1.3.10 or below you should be fine.

On a related note, the release candidate of Adium 1.4 has just been released so dev guys, any chance of an updated plugin that will support 1.4 for when it gets released? Even if there's no new features, we will need this update as soon as the 1.4 update gets pushed.

Although I'm not a Mxit dev, I'll try and get hold of the Adium source this week and rewrite the plugin to support v1.4 if I can. Should be a good exam study break ;) Honestly, I'm disappointed that there hasn't been an update to the plugin despite the release candidates (not to mention a plethora of betas) having been available for some time.

We're going to have to wait for 1.5 it appears. Unless the dev's release a new plugin. The devzone seems to be down so I can't get a hold of the plugin source to build it.
