Right now after using mxit on my iPhone for about 2 days I notice some bugs:

    I have a 3GS currently running version 3.1.3.

      1) My main problem is that the last message sent does not always appear automatically when switching between contacts. It focuses on messages in the middle. I have to scroll down all the time, which is right now the most annoying thing. (I don't know if it only happens when going to the contact from the "new message box" [..ok it happens with both, the contacts screen as well])
      2) The new message pop up that comes at the top seems too have a very small touch area - I have to often make sure I have to tap it very slightly and accurately (Maybe its just me though. Anyone else find this happening to them?)
      3) There is no functionality to make the "new message box" go away (however still keeping the envelope visible) after I have opened it, like tapping in the background doesn't do anything. I am forced to tap the persons name and see the message after I have tapped the envelope icon (am I misssing something?)
      4) In my opinion the layout is not as optimal as it could be in terms of space usage. The message boxes seem unnecessarily big. How about using a message layout like the sms or facebook chat on the iphone? - with the bubbles.
      5) Am I just missing something here or what, but where are all the settings that come with other phones versions of mxit. i.e. Text colours, font size - there seems to be no appearance options.

Other than these issues, I have not yet experienced any crashes or performance problems which is great.

I posted this exactly a month ago:
    Quote:
Almost 80% of the time when I start the application it fails to log me in. Trying again immediately it works 100% of the time. Maybe the logging in code can be improved??

I can now confirm that it is even worse than that. Sometimes I constantly try to log in for a couple of minutes without success. And no, there is nothing wrong with my "Network settings" or connection, ALL my other apps work fine. I'm at the point where I will wait for the next MXIT update... but if that doesn't fix the problem (or it gets fixed server side?) I'm just going to delete MXIT and go on with my life.

These aren't really bugs, but anyway!

I hate that clear button on the top right of all conversations.

I dont know about everyone else but i dont often feel the need to clear my whole conversation, yet now i do it all th time. If i put my phone down i have to be really careful where i put my finger when i pick it up again cos i just might clear everything.

I think a clear button should be it an options menu far away...

File sending (can send a picture as a message, not an actual file the other person can save. Cant receive anything)
Games, saved msgs (gallery) all features that are not supported yet... but i hope they will be in a later verson.

Other than that i like the iPhone app, it works well, looks completely different n the emoticons are cooler. (K)

    Hey all,
I'm having a very annoying issue which only started 2 days ago. Everytime I send a message to someone it does not appear until I go back to the contact list and then into the contact again. Strange how it's never happened before. Re-intsalled etc etc still not working.

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Mango.

    Totally concur.

I concur, I have lost many a good conversation purely by accident.

Also, it seems to me the development in this area is very slow or (next to) none judging by the few responses from Mxit.

Somebody needs to update the screenshots on iTunes
    http://itunes.apple.com/za/app/mxit/id311463168?mt=8

    emoticons are quite different...

when is the next version going to have a notion of a spark of thought?

We are busy working on a new version. But as you know, there's no actual release date. Something that you might not know is that we are looking at implementing image/file transfer for one. A lot of work is going into the next version.
